Privacy Policy

This is a starting point, not legal advice. Everything in square brackets needs filling in, and someone qualified in your jurisdiction should read the whole thing before you publish it.

Last updated: [DATE]. This policy explains what Ninth Street Barbers Ltd (“we”) does with personal information you give us through this website. It is written against the GDPR because that is the strictest common standard; if you trade outside the EU/UK, have it checked against your own local law before publishing.

Who is responsible

Ninth Street Barbers Ltd, 9 Ninth Street, Your City AB1 2CD, [COUNTRY]. Contact: [email protected] or +44 20 7946 0000. [If you are required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, name them here.]

What we collect, and why

  • Chair requests. Your name, phone number, and optionally your email, preferred barber, preferred service, and anything you write in the message box. We use this only to contact you back and arrange the appointment. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Appointment records. [If you keep a booking diary or use a booking system, say so here, name the system, and say how long records are kept.]
  • Website analytics. If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not build a profile of you or use a persistent identifier. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. The one thing it stores on your device is a single flag recording that you dismissed the cookie notice, kept in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us. [If you later add a chat widget, an embedded booking system, an ad pixel, or Google Analytics, this section and the notice itself must be rewritten to describe them, and consent must actually be requested before they load.]

Who else sees your information

  • Web3Forms — processes the contact form submission and delivers it to us by email. [Confirm their current terms and data location.]
  • [Your hosting provider] — serves this website and keeps standard server logs.
  • [Your booking system, if any] — name it here.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Chair requests are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 12 months] and then deleted. [State any longer period you are legally required to keep records for, e.g. accounting records.]

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to [YOUR COUNTRY’S DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITY, with its website].

Children

We cut children’s hair, but the booking is made by an adult. Please don’t submit this form if you are under [AGE] — ask a parent or guardian to do it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
